Daily tech stack as a marketer.

There are a few tools that I use daily, tools that if I didn’t use, my business wouldn’t run! Things I love, that make my job, as a marketer and content creator, easier.

This is my daily tech stack!

Descript: Video editing by text.

When I first started using Descript, I’ll be honest, I didn’t love it. I don’t use it for adding transitions or anything like that; as I think there are better alternatives, however, there is one feature that Descript has that I haven’t found in other software, and it is why I LOVE it for this task!

Descript gives you a transcript, and from that you can edit by cutting the transcript directly, and it will automatically cut the relative audio/video section too. It makes creating smaller social media friendly snippets, from longer videos, super easy. I can also add on the subtitles and it’s done!

Chat GPT: My secret friend!

So a super new addition, but one I now use daily. In social media, communication is key, and with Chat GPT I have an extra pair of eyes on my writing, making sure my copy is coherent, and error free. I’m terrible for typos, so this has been amazing! When I work with clients, being error free is a priority, and Chat GPT has been able to do that. Not to mention assisting with capitalisation of hashtag sets, helping with structure, and exploring complex topics for tech and SaaS clients.

Notion: Organisation extraordinaire.

When it comes to staying organised, Notion is my digital heaven! I use it to streamline my workflows, track projects, and collaborate easily with my team. From planning content calendars to managing client tasks, Notion keeps everything in one place. I even use it for delivering client strategies, recording lead gen, even my day to day calendar is on Notion!

I use Notion with all my clients too, and organise their content. I also offer installing Notion workflows for organisations, I have that much faith in it!

It’s insanely flexible, and powerful! I can’t recommend it enough!

Metricool: Scheduling & metrics.

Metricool is a wonderful scheduler. Budget-friendly, intuitive, lovely user interface, and visually organised. I can schedule nearly all my content in there, and really quickly too! in fact, the only things that I would recommend using other tools for, are scheduling Instagram stories in Meta Business Suite as they don’t have push notifications, and Tailwind is still the leading option for Pinterest. But for everything else, Metricool!

It also provides valuable insights into my social media performance, website analytics, and audience engagement. I can set it to send me monthly detailed reports, and helps me make data-driven decisions to enhance my clients online strategy and achieve better results. I use the metrics in Metricool, in combination with native platform analytics, to give me the best overview that I can have.

Canva: Designing graphics/onboarding clients/proposals.

When it comes to design magic, Canva is my go-to tool! Although I like the templates, (and they are great when you are starting out or don’t have time to design your own brand templates) I LOVE that I can create from scratch. I have created all my own branded proposals and documents, and use an easy system that lets me see all my clients designs in one place. Being able to create from scratch also means that my clients have a great level of graphic design on their socials.

Do you use any of these? Have any new ones piqued your interest?

*Affiliate links. I only share affiliate links to products I use and love. They mean I get a little bit from the platform if you choose to sign up. It doesn’t cost you anything. Don’t feel pressure to use my links, I love the products and think they’ll help you, so if you’d rather Google, go for it!
